Post Service Officer Training
Without well trained post service officers, such as yourself, veterans at individual posts will miss a chance to learn about the benefits they've earned. Become a Post Service Officer and expand your ability to assist veterans through this training opportunity.
Location: Department Convention at Marriott East, 7202 East 21st Street, Indianapolis.
Time: July 10, 2022 from 8 a.m. until Noon.
Training topics: Disability compensation, service connected survivor's benefits, burial benefits, non-service connected pension, compensation for disability caused by VA medical errors, medical benefits, and the appeal processes.
Open invitation: All American Legion post service officers are invited to, and should attend. This information will help post service officers better assist post members and veterans in their local communities. Training is free, however there could be costs for travel and lodging. As such, posts should consider sponsoring their post service officers' attendance.
Other interested American Legion members may also attend.
