The 2022 Oratorical Competition

Harris Collins sponsored by Post 38 is the 1st Place winner of the Oratorical Competition in 2021.


This Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. four competitors from across Indiana will present their orations on the U.S. Constitution and vie for the chance to win $25,000 in scholarships at the National competition.


The American Legion, Department of Indiana Oratorical Competition is hosted by The Indiana American Legion Legacy Foundation.

The Foundation's mission is to conduct and perpetuate the programs of The American Legion that serve Indiana’s veterans, their families, and its youth. This is the first year that the Foundation has sponsored the event and scholarship.
