Highlighting the Mission and Impact of the Indiana American Legion Foundation
Behind every program, grant, and partnership is a story of service; a veteran rebuilding stability, a young leader discovering purpose, a family finding hope.
These stories deserve to be shared. That’s why we’re launching Foundation Friday, a weekly series dedicated to highlighting the programs, people, and partnerships that bring our mission to life.
About the Indiana American Legion Foundation
The Indiana American Legion Foundation serves as the charitable arm of The American Legion, Department of Indiana. Its mission is to ensure that veterans, military families, and future generations of Hoosiers are never left behind.
Through the generosity of donors, community partners, and members of the Legion Family, the Foundation provides vital support to programs that uphold the values of service, patriotism, and community.
What is Foundation Friday?
Each Friday, the Foundation will share stories that demonstrate how generosity becomes action. From the veteran who found hope, to the student whose future was changed through a patriotic youth program, to the volunteers who make it all possible.
Through these features, we hope to deepen understanding, inspire involvement, and honor the spirit of service that unites us all.
Continuing the Legacy of Service
The Foundation’s success depends on the continued support of those who believe in our mission. One of the most meaningful ways to contribute is by becoming a monthly donor.
Even a modest gift of $5 per month can provide critical, consistent support that sustains our programs year-round. Monthly donors help ensure that no veteran, family, or child in need is left without assistance.
As we launch Foundation Friday, we invite you to follow along, share these stories within your community, and consider joining us as a sustaining supporter of this important work.
Together, we honor the past, serve the present, and invest in the future.
