Foundation Friday: Support Veterans and Youth in Indiana with Walmart’s Spark Good Round Up Program

What if supporting veterans and developing future leaders in Indiana could be as simple as rounding up your change?

Through Walmart’s Spark Good Round Up program, shoppers can choose to round their purchase total up to the nearest dollar when shopping on Walmart.com or through the Walmart mobile app. The spare change from each purchase is automatically donated to a nonprofit organization of their choice, including the Indiana American Legion Foundation.

While a few cents may seem small in the moment, when a community participates together, those small contributions quickly grow into meaningful support for programs that serve veterans, military families, and young leaders across our state.

What Is Walmart’s Spark Good Round Up?

Spark Good Round Up is Walmart’s customer giving program that allows shoppers to donate spare change from their purchases to a nonprofit of their choice.

When the feature is enabled, Walmart rounds a purchase up to the nearest dollar and donates the difference.

For example:

Purchase total: $24.63

Round Up donation: $0.37

Total charged: $25.00

That $0.37 donation goes directly to the Indiana American Legion Foundation, helping support programs that assist veterans and strengthen youth leadership opportunities across Indiana.

How to Support the Indiana American Legion Foundation

Step 1: Visit Our Walmart Spark Good Page

Start by visiting the Indiana American Legion Foundation’s Spark Good profile page by clicking this link.

You may be prompted to sign in to your Walmart account.

Step 2: Select the Indiana American Legion Foundation

Click the “Select This Charity” button to connect your Walmart account to the Indiana American Legion Foundation.

Step 3: Enable Round Up

Turn on the Round Up feature. Once enabled, Walmart will automatically round your purchases to the nearest dollar when shopping online or in the Walmart app.

Step 4: Shop as You Normally Do

Once Round Up is activated, the process is automatic.

Every eligible purchase made through:

Walmart.com and the Walmart mobile app can generate small donations to support the Foundation’s work.

If you typically shop in-store, you can still participate by placing pickup or delivery orders through the Walmart app, which will allow Round Up donations to apply.
