MyComputerCareer, an innovative adult I.T. career college with campuses in Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina and Texas, is partnering with the American Legion and Operation: Job Ready Vets with a new outreach program that offers financial support and educational opportunities to Indiana military veterans left stranded by the abrupt closure of ITT-Tech

INDIANAPOLIS - The American Legion Department of and MyComputerCareer.edu™ today announced that the Legion has endorsed MyComputerCareer’s ITT-Tech Graduation Grant program.

MyComputerCareer’s ITT-Tech Graduation Grant program was announced in mid-September following the abrupt closure of over 130 ITT Technical Institute campuses nationwide, a shutdown that abandoned over 40,000 students, over 6,000 of whom are American military veterans. Under MyComputerCareer’s new grant program, any former ITT-Tech student who enrolls in and completes MyComputerCareer’s foundational I.T. Systems Administrator (ITSA)program will receive a post-graduation loan repayment grant of up to 37% of the cost of the ITSA tuition.
“Given its long-standing support for veterans and the excellent pathway its I.T. Certification courses provide servicemen and women looking to transition into civilian life, we heartily endorse MyComputerCareer’s ITT-Tech Graduation Grant program,” said Hugh Dagley, Adjutant of The American Legion, Department of Indiana. “Not only can veterans take the ITSA program online from anywhere in the state, but MyComputerCareer has a campus right here in Indianapolis, which makes it even more attractive to us and American Legion members in the area.”

According to MyComputerCareer’s Founder and CEO Tony Galati, the ITSA course is an excellent path for any veteran interested in pursuing a career in I.T. Security, Network Administration and/or Helpdesk positions, whether as a manager or administrator.

“Since our launch over eight years ago, we have helped countless veterans across the country gain the know-how to earn valuable Information Technology certifications critical for landing high-paying I.T. jobs,” Galati said. “Through our sponsorship of the POW-MIA Freedom Car we have developed a close relationship with The American Legion, and we are quite humbled to receive this endorsement.”

Operation: Job Ready Vets and MyComputerCareer also Partner in Indiana
In addition to the Indiana Legion’s endorsement of the ITT-Tech Graduation Grant program, MyComputerCareer will also be working closely with American Legion partner, Operation: Job Ready Vets (OJRV), to conduct an outreach program to military veterans in the Hoosier state and beyond.

“We love the quality of training provided by MyComputerCareer, as well as its dedication to serving our former servicemen and women,” said Gene Anderson, CEO of Operation: Job Ready Vets. “MyComputerCareer’s Lifetime Job Placement services fall right in line with our focus at OJRV, and we look forward to working with them to help provide additional support for Indiana veterans.”

While completing the rigorous full-time 7-month or part-time 10-month ITSA program, students can earn up to 10 I.T. Certifications, specifically
  • Five Microsoft Certifications:
    • Windows Operating Systems Fundamentals — Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA);
    • Networking Fundamentals (MTA);
    • Security Fundamentals (MTA);
    • Mobility and Devices (MTA); and
    • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP);
  • Four CompTIA Certifications:
    • CompTIA A+, Network+, Mobility+ and Server+ Certifications; and
  • One Cisco Systems Certification:
    • Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT).

The next ITSA course will start at the Indianapolis campus on Friday, October 21. Conversely, Tuesday, October 18 is the next start date for MyComputerCareer’s live online version of its ITSA course, available throughout the United States. Another online class will start approximately six weeks later.

For specific details about enrollment opportunities with MyComputerCareer.edu, former ITT Tech students should call 866-606-6922 or visit MyComputerCareer.edu/ITT-Tech-Students.
