State House doors open at 0800
Main event starts at 1030
This is the fourth annual event for the IMVLD, and is intended to get our veterans together with their legislators to discuss specific issues our veterans and their families face. Veterans, their spouses, significant others, caretakers, and their children and families in general are encouraged to attend.
If you plan to march to the State House:
The group will rally at the intersection location on Robert Orr Plaza and West Street. The Marchers will move East on Robert Orr Plaza toward Senate Street Entrance at the State House on the lower level. Walk should take less than 5 minutes.
Meeting location: West Robert Orr Plaza. This is the intersection of Robert Orr Plaza and West Street.
Marching assembly time: Approximately 0830-0900
Start: Approximately 0900
Entering the State House, marchers will need to be screened through security at the lower level entrance.
This is a bipartisan event sponsored by State Representatives John Bartlett and Jim Baird. Planning and coordination is done by a veteran volunteer committee and spans across many organizations and individuals.
For those attending, coffee and donuts will be available in the morning, and a catered sandwich lunch will be provided. Both on the Main Floor (2nd Floor). Resources for food and drink were donated by Indiana veteran organizations, groups, and associations.

Please stop by the booth areas in the North Atrium and learn more about what those organizations are doing regarding veteran specific legislation.
Breakout meetings with legislators
Start: 1100 (Based on your appointment or legislator availability for meet and greets)
We will have information and literature to provide constituents with legislative agenda information to use while meeting with your legislators.

Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, Hoosier Veterans and their families from across the state will again head to the Indiana State House for the fourth annual Indiana Military Veterans Legislative Day.
This day gives veterans an opportunity to meet with their representatives, face-to-face, and discuss veteran specific legislative concerns in our state.
